Me? Bitter? Nah...

Oh social networking sites, how I despise ye...

Seriously, you go onto Bebo (For general snooping around), you look at the profiles of the people in your year, and how can you not be embarrassed for them? I would like to point out that most of the people in my year (who continued with sixth form) are more academically bright than me, and most of them will have had much better results from the exams. This is the part which pisses me off. Do they really have to conform and dumb down the entire fucking English language?

It’s like a slap in the face. I'm not really academically able, but I read broadsheets, have a good knowledge of current affairs and spend around an average of an hour a day on Wikipedia. I read philosophy, I have read many works of Richard Dawkins, I read about science, I read about technology, have my own opinions on many subjects such as GM farming and organic foods and I try my damn hardest to learn about the world. I decide to see what the fuss is about on Bebo, so I go onto it, look at the people from my year and shudder. These are supposed to be my intelligent peers! It really does make my blood boil.

So I decided to do my own little Mebo account (Yes, that was a deliberate change...). I don’t know if it’s going too over the top, but then again, looking at the other profiles, it does start to fit in (Its looks better when viewed in Firefox).
Enjoy:

Like it? I do, even if that picture of "Jo" looks quite scary.

I love being bitter.

By the way...

Its a random post this one, but if by any chance, I go into a quite nasty vegative state, then I'm probably going to ask right here right now if I could be "axed off" from my life support machine/feeding tube etc. I'm just worried that some random church or pro-life group will try to speak up my my behalf, and so on, so if I ever do screw myself up somehow, you know what to do...
